This is because your works are unique and visually pleasing. Sure, people recognize skill in the works mentioned, but an artist is not ranked by detail, complexity, or anything else like that in the people's eyes. The people rank you on how much they LIKE it. If it isn't interesting, but it's detailed, who cares? It's boring. Yours however, are fun to look at, have a flow, and kepp your eyes busy around the work. Are you the top of the list in skill? No. Are you the top in style? In the eyes of many, myself included, yes. It is all about perspective, not true, root skill.

I totally agree with that one, I see a lot of people applauding hyper realism, as opposed to impressionist or rough works, but drawing isn't done to replicate reality, take a photo! I definitely hold the values of style and creativity over realism, I have seen many instances where this skill is used to recreate the mundane. I truly look up to people who can imitate reality, but use their own creativity as inspiration
