Well Done

I gave it a five, I don't know why it's rated so badly but I think it is done perfectly (or as close as you can get to perfection). the style, shading, and the mood are all great, and I can't see why this has been beaten in terms of score by a drawing of bulbasaur.

Great job, even if it wasn't accepted it stands alone as a great work of art

Thank you very much! I have to admit I see a lot of imperfections, and every once in a while I get tempted to fix those, but I stop myself. If I keep fixing everything I ever did I'll never make anything new :)

As for the score... My husband is a Newgrounder for over 3 years, and he keeps complaining about zero bombers. That might be the case. Or so I hope :)

Liking your style

you have a very nice, clean style, and I think the cross hatching helps.
just my observation... this looks very sinister compared to the photograph, but in that sense you've captured a very distinct mood

Good effort, cool character!

Definitely looks like a Dan Paladin character, the only difference being the proportions of the feet to the body. Even though it's unrelated why does the use of the pencil tool or paintbrush dictate if this was skilled or not?
